Daniel Neilson

I am a BACP accredited counsellor and psychotherapist with experience working across a wide range of clinical settings.

My approach in the therapy room is to create a care plan based on the needs of the individual. In our first session together we will explore various themes and presenting issues you would like to address in therapy with a view to establishing a therapeutic space in which emotional growth is able to take place. 

To that end I use an integrative model based on a multidisciplinary approach having initially trained as a person centred counsellor before attaining the MSc in Psychotherapy Studies at the New School of Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Since receiving accreditation in 2013 I have worked across a varied and diverse client group within the NHS, charity, private and higher education sectors and have experience working with clients from multiple ages, backgrounds, nationalities and identities.

I look forward to entering into a therapeutic relationship with each and every client that I encounter within the counselling room and for a journey based upon shared intent, respect and understanding to take place.
